ADOdb install problems

I have a small problem with ADOdb when I try to install NBBS.
I've used the correct parameters when I install but I get this error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in C:\Users\XXX\XXXXX\www\adodb\drivers\adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 353

Anyhelp would be appriciated
